Steven Samms

My name is Steven Samms, and I am a seasoned psychonaut with a deep commitment to healing and transformation.

My journey into psychedelic medicine was born out of necessity, an urgent need to heal from the traumatic abuse I experienced as a child and to find an alternative to the traditional psychotropic drugs that failed to alleviate my depression and anxiety. Psychedelic-assisted facilitation not only enabled me to discontinue psychotropic medications after decades of reliance but also fundamentally reshaped my relationship with my past. Rather than being defined by trauma, I came to see it as a source of profound insight into the struggles of others.

This realization drives my work today. I am certified in Psychedelic-Assisted Facilitator and Ketamine-Assisted Facilitator through ATMA Cena in Alberta, Canada, and have studied the pharmacology of psychedelics under Dr. Ben Malcolm, PharmD, MPH. I am currently undergoing additional training with InnerTrek to be a licensed facilitator in the states of Oregon, Colorado and New Mexico. I'm also the author of a book on psychedelic medicine, currently querying literary agents.

With lived experience, professional training, and a deep belief in the power of psychedelic medicine, I am here to guide, educate, and hold space for those seeking transformation.

My position as a facilitator is not to cure you, it is to make sure you are physically safe and mentally prepared for a psychedelic journey. The healing capabilities are within you already; psychedelics simply provide access to those capabilities
